[갤럭시탭S6 디지털 드로잉 강좌] 레이어 완벽 마스터하기 (Galaxy Tab S6 Digital Drawing Tutorial : Layer)
Hello eveyone~ I’m TabART. Finally I’m going to show you part 1 of the tap-art drawing tutorial that many subscribers have asked for. In fact, I don’t think
I’m good enough to teach you painting. This video has been requested by many people and has subscribed more than 2,000 people to my channel. I made this video to reward everyone
who loves my content. I hope you think of this video as how I’m drawing my picture, and sharing my personal drawing tips. If you know better drawing tips while watching the video, please write a lot in the comments. I think it would be more meaningful if we all had time to study together. I hope this video is helpful to you and let’s start with the first part of the TabART drawing tutorial. A layer means ‘overlapping’ in a dictionary. In fact, I think everyone knows how to use layers, but there are many people
who don’t know the concept of layers. I don’t think you need to do digital drawing
unless you use layers, one of the greatest advantages of digital drawing. To make it easier to understand,
let’s talk about what a layer means in a picture. The Joker drawing you see now
looks like just one picture, but in fact, there are eight layers stacked here,
one picture. If you check This scene may look a bit ugly, but I’ve opened it because it can help you to understand it the quickest. If you check it, it consists of 8 layers:
highlight, torso, hair detail, hair base, eye nose, skin detail, skin base, and background. A layer is a concept that pops forward
as it is placed on top. The reason for drawing this way is that it is
very easy to add and modify coloring when drawing separate layers,
which greatly reduces the burden on coloring. Also, color changes and fine adjustments can be made for each part, so layers are really basic and essential. For example, I’ll show you how to modify the hair detail when the layers are split and when they are not. First off, when the hair detail layer is split, it’s very convenient to erase and draw just the hair detail. But if you have only one layer, you can see that it’s burdensome to delete and refill something. If you want to change the color of the clothes, when the layers are divided, it is very simple to select the clothes layer and change the color. When you have a single layer, you’ll have to use complicated methods, such as using the Select tool to fine-tune your shape or turning on clipping to recolor to the color you want. Can you now estimate
how convenient it is to work with layers? Layers can do a lot of things, but here are some tips from the basic base to some really handy features. No matter what drawing program you see first, the layers can be checked by tapping the icons that overlap these papers. First of all, you can see the eye icon next to the layer by default. This icon lets you choose whether to
view or hide this layer as it appears. This feature is used for many purposes, but in my case I use it to enable or disable sketch layers. Next is opacity. This function is to specify the transparency of the selected layer. For example, when you make a sketch transparent or something like a transparent cloak. Adding and deleting layers is as simple as this, and changing the location varies from application to application. For example, you can click the arrow to move up and down, or drag the layer directly to reposition it. Third is alpha value and clipping function. The two functions have a similar feel with region restriction coloring, but the alpha value shown here is to limit the region to the colored part of the layer itself so that the line does not go out of the region when coloring. Clipping function is to clip to the upper layer of the two layers, and the arrow is connected to the lower layer like this. Likewise, you are limited to the colored range of the bottom layer. Clipping is managed as a separate layer, making it easier to add and modify. Copy Layer literally copies the same layer. You can merge two layers and this feature is used to merge layers of similar nature when there are too many layers to manage. A layer effect is usually used to change the color value of the layer. You can change the color of clothes or hair even after painting. And I don’t use blend mode very much, but there are a lot of people who use this blending well And if you use it well, you can draw a picture very easily. This feature is the effect that the layers overlap with the layers below. Multiplies typically eliminate the dark side and reveal the bright side so that they overlap, while the screen eliminates. the white side and the dark side reveals the overlap. In addition, the layer effect has a variety of effects, it is recommended to check it by changing one by one. I don’t use it well except multiply.
Multiply is used in this way, for example. The order of layers is the artist’s mind, but in my case I will show you the order of layer placement. As you saw earlier when you unfold the layer, place the highlight at the top and in the order that pops out below it. At the end, place a background. It’s going to be skin on the background, and on top of that it’s the eye, nose, mouth, hair and clothes on it. The highlights are the brightest and most sparkling parts, so I’m placing them on top and arranging the highlights of the eyes or skin on top. So let’s draw a simple one based on
what I explained earlier. First hold the guide on the first layer you created. The Opacity feature blurs the guide and creates a new layer on top of it. Now I’ll clean my sketch Now that the sketch is complete,
no guide layer is needed. Tap the active icon to hide or delete a layer. Now start coloring. If you paint on the sketch layer, the sketch is hidden by color, so make sure to place the coloring layer under the sketch layer. Or apply multiplies with blending to sketch layers This time, I will mainly use the clipping mask function. First, select the coloring layer and fill it with the fill function. Create a layer on top of it and check the clipping mask function so that it belongs to the bottom layer. Do you see the arrow pointing down? Next, paint your skin and create a second layer to color your hair. I’ll paint the costume on the third layer. This separates the layers for each area. In this situation, set the alpha value (transparency lock) to add the contrast of each part. Contrast and brushes will be covered in detail in the next tutorial, so I’ll pass them on quickly. Once the picture is complete, create an additional layer on top to organize the glitter, eye highlights, etc. Finally fill the background layer and finish the picture. The background is the tone function supported by MediBang, so I’ll fill in the appropriate layer and add a speech bubble to make the webtoon feel. The speech bubble layer should be at the top because the speech bubble should not be hidden in the picture. So far, I’ve completed a character by learning the concepts of layers, their functions, and the ordering of layers. How did you watch this video? It’s a very basic part,
but if you can use only the most important layer, you’ll feel better with your digital drawing skills!
(The above article has been translated into English in the body of the video.) This is the end of the video we prepared today. The next video will show you the purpose and features of each brush!
