Hi, I’m Carles Marsal,
graphic designer and visual artist. I dedicate myself to graphic design, retouching, and illustration. And you can see my work in publishing or in advertisements,
and on both a magazine cover and a book cover, a videogame case,
on a website, or in any environment
where it’s applicable. I’m certified by Adobe as an Adobe Certified Expert Instructor and you can see some of my conferences with them. A fundamental tool
in my work is Photoshop. It allows me to manage the
content really well. What gives it the most weight is,
actually, the layer management, the settings, selections, and,
above all, the brushes. In this Domestika course, you’ll learn to create a stage through photographic material. What’s known normally
as “matte painting”. Sometimes we’ll find ourselves needing to create a nonexistent environment or one that any other way
would be impossible to construct. I’ll develop one, in which you’ll see the construction of a valley. For this, I’ll teach you how
to create a sketch that’ll make it easier later on
to compile the images you’ll need. Then, I’ll teach you
how to assemble the scene and how to manage to integrate
the whole ensemble so it looks as real as possible. After, the light and shadow work will be what will begin
to give depth to your project. Then we’ll correct the color, so there’s environmental coherence. And to finish up,
we’ll make our own environment. Then, the final details. And lastly,
I’ll show you some techniques that’ll finish up your project and give it an abundance of detail. The requirements
to be able to take this course are very simple: just have a basic understanding
of how to use Photoshop. Keep in mind that also, in the course, I’ll tell you how to work with it. How to manage the caps a little,
how to use the brushes… I have a gallery of brushes
I’ve created myself. Some are mine,
others are created by other artists. And with these brushes I can achieve totally real textures and make sure the different elements
are integrated perfectly. To take this course you’ll need: a computer with internet connection, Photoshop, a graphics tablet, and, of course, a lot of imagination. This course is aimed at those who have a curiosity
for photorealistic editing, matte painting. Whether you’re photo retouchers,
illustrators, designers, photographers, or just curious. With this course,
all the worlds you’ve imagined will finally become reality. Matte Painting: Creating
a Photorealistic Worlds A course by Carles Marsal
