hello and welcome to another NBK design
video tutorial I’m Anika one of the creative team members the prodcuts are received free of charge as part of my free creative team work for
in NBK design today I want to show you how to create a page like this this
one is from Trish another NBK design creative team member and I asked
her to make a little tutorial how she created this page and she was so nice
and gave us a written tutorial and now I want to show you in a video how you can
create such a page so let’s get started I will use the same collection like
Trish did she used in creative collection it’s from 2017 and like
always I will start with white paper and we have the solid papers here if you
press ctrl + 0 you can increase your paper and now let’s start with a photo I
will use this rose from pixels drag it on top of you
paper and I will minimize it a little bit press shift and one of these corners
here and something like this okay and I will also use the precious
collection from February 2018 and because I have to collection and they
are on a different hard drivers and if I go to file and open I always need to
switch so I will open the precious collection in I’m the bridge here so I
don’t need to switch between the hard drives and I need now masks so let’s use
this one drag it on top of your paper and now you have your mask on top of
your photo we need to change this the mask needs to be under the photo so drag
it under the photo then go between the two layers press and hold alt and click
and now your photo is clipped into the mask and now it’s a little bit bigger
here you can see the black so I make the layer from the mask active and I go to
this score here and minimize it just a little bit press ok and now make your
mask layer active double click on your layer and then we go to bevel and emboss
if you can see it here go to ethics & bevel & emboss
click it and now you can see you get a nice let’s say a structure or a texture
you get this bevel and emboss effect and you can play a little bit with these
settings here for now I only will change the depth but you can try to change for
example the color here and you can change the blend mode so this is
something you have to try if you have time for now
I only will change the depth you can have a look here at the technique and the style so try this by your own and
I’m sure he will get some nice effects so this is okay for now and now we need
some brushes or masks so in the precious collection we have this brush mix here
you can use some of those brushes or let’s have a look at these watercolor
blenders if you double click on this file here and then go to your brush they
are automatically installed here are the water color blindness if you have an
older version go to the skier here and go to import or load brushes so first we
need a new layer make your top layer active in this case it’s the photo
because we want to have the new layer on top and click the Create a new layer
then we go to the brushes and let’s have a look and the watercolor brushes they
have all a color as you can see here and let that’s a perfect color for my rose
so I will choose pink or as you can see it’s a dynamic brush if I
click you can see the size and the direction always change and then I will
do the same double click go to battle and emboss and let’s see if we can get a
nice effect yes something like this and I think I will put it under my mask yeah
okay but make a new layer and let’s see another brush perhaps yes same it’s a
dynamic brush you can see the size and the direction always change and double
click same give it a bevel and emboss ok and let’s see if we put this layer on
top yes I like this ok and then create another new layer go to our brush of
course you can let’s use another brush so you can see uhm go to the brush mix
yes and let’s use this one press ok and something like this and now let’s see if
we have some styles for example the windage dies same here if you
double-click on the file there automatically installed if not go to
these lines here and press load styles so now let’s see if we apply our windage
style yes this one and we go to our bubble and emboss and I will give it a
little bit of effect here let’s try if we use another color and perhaps no not
a big change yeah you can see you have to spoil it in
it so this is something you’ll really have to try because it takes too much
time to find perfect results so for now I will leave it like it is now and I
will minimize it a little bit press and hold shift and grab one of these squares okay and now let’s have a look at our
and tweet chief collection you can use those PNG brushes I will rotate this
press ctrl + T and then right mouse click and you can rotate it in this case
it doesn’t matter in which direction and let’s have a look on our styles we have gesso styles double click and I will try
them a little bit hard to see because it’s white on a white background so
let’s try this one again to the pub land emboss and you may have seen this style
already has a bevel and emboss so we can also click here and now change but
that’s a little bit yeah okay and yeah okay so now you can go on
and add more brushes and add more styles or you can have a look at lots of bits
and pieces if you find something something like this and if you apply the
bevel and emboss can create this nice effect in this case I don’t like it so I
think you get an idea what I wanted to show you apply a bevel and emboss effect
on a mask or on a brush and you get this nice effect and play with the settings
and that’s it I hope I could give you a little bit of inspiration or let’s say
Trish gave this inspiration Thank You Trish and I would like to see your
layouts if you want to share it at the otology Facebook group from MBK design I
will put a link in the description thanks for watching this video see you
soon bye
