Hello, today I will be showing you how to fix a
windows seven file association error. often this type of error will result in
your desktop looking like this with all the icons uniform and having the suffix
LNK there are some simple steps you can take to
fix this error first go to your start button and under the search type r e g e t i d or registry edit once you’re prompted press yes from here the path you will take is h_key current user under this you will want to look for
software under software look for microsoft right under microsoft you’ll want to
look for windows it will be the first of the options right below that current version below here search for explorer and under explorer look for file e_x_ t_s_ or file
extensions the last path you will take is the dot LNK once you find this right-click user
choice and delete it don’t worry this won’t cause any harm to
your computer once you have deleted it you can close out and then restart your computer said that
the change may occur this should completely fix your file
