how well can you persuade and influence people stay tuned this is Damon Cart from NLP Gym how to manipulate people NLP mind control part two this is the second video in a series of three videos if you haven’t already please click subscribe to this YouTube channel so you can get these videos on a regular basis so the first video i did about manipulating people was sort of a disclaimer sort of telling you what i mean by the manipulation and how it’s something we all do and it’s really about understanding that and then getting clearer about what you’re doing when you’re manipulating people so that you can do it in a much better way and I know much more ecological way where you’re not taking advantage of someone they don’t he originally started as modeling incredible therapists three in particular that was Fritz Perls, Virginia Satir and Milton Erickson the reason but John Grinder and Richard Ballard shows these therapists is because they were these are therapists who were not so much interested in theory and much more interested in getting results and at the time to sort of put them on the fringe of psychology because at that time psychology with more about theory and basically arguing over which theory was better than the other and these three therapists kinda through that stuff out a new theory but they were far more interested in what got them results what these three therapists also had in common was their incredible ability to manipulate their clients and moving them toward their own solutions and solving their own problems and they did this through their use of language and psychogeography which is the spatial relationship between two or more people and also the people’s physiology the founders of NLP John Grinder Richard Bandler were able to model this from these therapists and then replicate the results by implementing the model what they discovered was that they didn’t need to go through years of psychology training to have the same sort of results with clients as these therapists were having they also discovered that this could be used for much more than just therapy this could be used in many areas so how does this all work well the first thing is to know where you want to bring the person you’re manipulating persuading are influencing start with the end in mind most people who are doing some sort of persuasion manipulation or influencing don’t have a very clear idea in sensory experience meaning they see and hear where they want this to go where they want to persuade someone to where they want to move someone they don’t have a clear idea of this normally well a lot of people do whenever they go into a situation whether its cells are some type of negotiation where they’re wanting to manipulate or persuade is what’s on their minds of fear of rejection they’re thinking what they don’t want what they don’t want is to be rejected so they go into these situations with that on their mind and so what happens is even though they don’t know what your objective they sort of move themselves naturally in that direction because that’s what they’re thinking about what you want to do is you want to flip this you want to be focused on what where it is you want to bring the client sure you can acknowledge that you may have this fear on this not wanting to be rejected but if that’s what’s on your mind mostly if that’s what you’re thinking about more than anything else you’re probably going to move in that direction and that’s what you don’t want to do so you want to move in the direction of where you want to take this person next thing you want to do is build rapport with someone and that’s where the mirror and matching in the sensory acuity and calibration comes in that is usually the first skills that were taught in an NLP training this creates some sort of sense of familiarity with the person you’re persuading and this is beginning of trust and eventually they’ll start to trust you more and more it’s also the point of no return now what do I mean by that this is where you introduce the possibility betraying this person so you want to be very careful about what you doing here when a person starts to trust you and then you decide to start leading them where you want them to go which is where the persuasion happens a lot of times people are only thinking about their own needs they’re not thinking about again ecology what is needed what are the needs of the system where the needs of the other person where the needs of this interaction and a lot of times what’s your cells people really go wrong and usually the amateur cells types is there only thinking about getting the cell and then running running away out of fear that the person is gonna want their money back and they’re gonna want to return whatever it is that they bought their going to complain this is not a terrible approach if you’re a salesperson or if you’re negotiating are influencing or persuading anyone the best thing to do is to treat this person like a client and not treat them just like a temporary client treat every client like they’re going to be a life-long client meaning you are now accountable for what you’re telling this person and what you’re promising for the rest of your life that this person will likely come back for more that this person has any troubles with what it is you’re the product or service that you’re selling them you’re here you will you will be here you won’t answer for that if that person comes back and has an issue a problem or complaint when you treat everyone even a person who is only buying one thing from you and only that one thing that probably won’t buy anything else but when you treat them as if they’re going to be a lifelong client the tendency is that they kind of fall into that and they’re more likely to buy something else from you they’re also more likely to be on your side if they only by that one thing and something goes wrong they’re not going to come back at you yelling and screaming and asking for a refund they will have the sense that you’re going to help them you’re going to get them the outcome that you promised our guarantee with that product or service this not only applies to cells they can even in terms that is a dating if you treated every person who you date even if it you go on one date it’s not a good it but you treat this person like they’re going to be a friend of yours for the rest of your life you’re going to create some amazing relationships with people if you’re only thinking about a person of whether or not attracted to them whether or not they’re going to give me what I want whether or not we’re a good fit and you just leave it at that you are handicapping yourself you could have an incredible social life just by treating everyone you need everyone you can date with everyone you ask out as if you’re going to be friends for life you’re going to get into a relationship with this person or you’re at least going to be friends for the rest your life will make incredible relationships connections and if it’s you know more about sales then you will you will network like no one else you will make incredible connections that people trust you and they will want to be around you this is the second video in a series of three so to be continued check out my website NLP-Gym.com follow me on Facebook
