Reply Shoot Street TV says: January 8, 2020 at 5:27 am Very nice set up for your documentary work. Reply Randy Pollock says: January 8, 2020 at 5:27 am It sounds like a wonderful project and kudos to you getting a month off to do it. I grew up and still live in rural Tennessee, I did leave the small town to serve in the USAF so I saw the big towns and cities of the world, but since then I have come back to the smaller towns… It will be interesting what you find special or unique about these communities. It is often easy to get swept up in the cliches of people who maybe live in these small towns, older homes and possibly less worldly views of society. Glad you are bringing us along for the ride. Reply Supratim Samanta says: January 8, 2020 at 5:31 am Journey begins 🙌 Bon voyage!!! Reply To Ni says: January 8, 2020 at 6:08 am Your set up makes sense about what you need and what you're going to use it for. Looking forward for the photos. Have fun 😀 Reply Fie Franciska says: January 8, 2020 at 6:41 am Super exciting Andrew! Great thing! Reply JoDiseviscourt says: January 8, 2020 at 8:12 am I‘m absolutely looking forward to see your photos and videos of this project. Documentary photography is certainly my favourite type of photography. Are you planning on doing a zine or even a book afterwards, if the project succeeds? Reply Andreas Schröder says: January 8, 2020 at 8:41 am I sooooo love it! After you posted your last video I commented that the small town video is my favorite of your videos so far and now you are doing this? This is so great! (Disclaimer: I'm totally aware that you must be preparing this for some time now but I still feel the urge to take credit… 🙂 ) Reply 1spitfirepilot says: January 8, 2020 at 8:41 am Excellent – I hope it goes well. I think it will. Reply Mark W says: January 8, 2020 at 8:53 am This looks great, I am really looking forward to seeing your videos. When you did this last time, it was great to watch, really interesting. Are you planning to get back on your bike again this year at any point? Reply Adele Porter says: January 8, 2020 at 9:24 am Excited for this project 😊 Reply Steve Schnetzler says: January 8, 2020 at 9:35 am Maybe try contacting the local church or community center to see if you can get an into and some pointers first. This should speed things up a lot for you. Or contact one photographer in the town and get them to refer you. I look forward to seeing the results. Reply Timothy Weikert says: January 8, 2020 at 10:43 am Excited to see this! Thanks for sharing and good luck. Reply david jones says: January 8, 2020 at 10:48 am Great project, I did a similar project a few years ago called intimate-inanimate all shot on X pro 2 and 35 1.4. Reply Makers Telemark says: January 8, 2020 at 12:33 pm Given where you live, I'd be curious to see if you thread together some common themes from your location shoots. Be that age, ethnicity, nostalgia, industry, etc. Looking forward to your journey. Have fun, you're off! Reply Dave D says: January 8, 2020 at 1:20 pm Good luck my dude! Inspiring and bold project. Way to push yourself. Looking forward to the videos and photos that come of it. Cheers! Reply Kit Complete says: January 8, 2020 at 1:29 pm Looking forward to this project and glad you’re doing an pro3 review from this perspective. I totally agree that too many reviewers kind of missed what this camera is good for. Reply Michael Schmitt says: January 8, 2020 at 4:18 pm Cool. Looking forward to your images. I shoot some street and candid documentary images. I chose to have my photograph on my "business" card. I think it allows people to feel that I am willing to share my face with them, if they share theirs. Plus, it is like security for them to be able to identify me. Kind of like a picture ID. Reply snapit happy says: January 8, 2020 at 4:41 pm Carnt wait for you to show us your documentary project yeeeeehaaa!! With our favourite 16mm 1.4 and X pro 3 … What a setup!! Reply during the meanwhilst says: January 8, 2020 at 7:23 pm we have people like this around where I live – we call them distraction burglars!!! only joking – best of luck with your project 🙂 Reply Francisco Silva says: January 8, 2020 at 9:04 pm Canon?!?!?!? BlerghhhhhhhWhat matters is that we have an expert behind the camera 😉 Reply astudios says: January 9, 2020 at 4:10 am Cant wait Reply Nigel Rumsey says: January 9, 2020 at 8:35 am What a great opportunity, I'm more than a little jealous. I think the 16mm is a great choice, I'd have to bring the 35mm as well. You're going to want to take the odd portrait and that 16mm is no one's friend for that. I'm looking forward to seeing what you bring back. Reply W S says: January 9, 2020 at 10:47 am Can't wait to see! Will you be posting the photos on a website or Instagram account? Reply Omar CCX says: January 9, 2020 at 1:25 pm Can't wait for an update on the GFX. Reply Tim Johnston says: January 9, 2020 at 1:45 pm Can't wait to see this, Andrew. Good luck! If you have time, can you add some advice / findings for your interviews? I'm sure more than a few of us would like to to learn from you. Reply Fabrizio Zago - Photography and Media says: January 11, 2020 at 11:05 am Very interesting project, looking forward for the next update! Reply Torphotographic says: January 13, 2020 at 12:05 am JUST SUBSCIBED. Andrew, you are actually going to use your own camera without fear that this will reduce its price on a trade in further down the line. No fear it may get scratched out doing real world photojournalism. The Camera Gear collectors/reviewers aren't going to like this. 🙂 Great project, I look forward to your posts. Reply sailonstellarwinds says: January 13, 2020 at 1:00 am Love it, all of it. The project, the photography, the thought of more content from you! Reply Martin Gross says: January 16, 2020 at 12:46 pm Hi man, really good video. One question what do you have on the camera https://www.dropbox.com/s/aglj8pv5g46yo07/Screenshot%202020-01-16%2013.48.14.png?dl=0 it's a extender "grip" or something different? Thanks for reply.
